The Best Hotel In London For Four-Person Families

The Best Hotel In London For Four-Person Families

Autograph Collection From The Bankside Hotel

Category 6 Hotel, “Generous Guest Room” with two queen beds, 50k points + 100 GBP per night (typical dates).

Only a little over a year old, yet families are raving about this hotel near London’s South Bank.

This 161-room hotel is nice because it is not too big or too small. Your room is never far away, and the Art Yard Bar & Kitchen serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Even better, during off-peak times, you can book a room at Bankside for just 40k points and 100 GBP per night. In a city like London, that’s a good deal.

There’s a lot to do nearby, so at the very least, plan to go to Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe, and the National Theatre. Southwark and Blackfriars tube stations are only a 4-minute walk away, and Waterloo station is only 10 minutes away on foot.

Marriott Hotel In London County Hall

The rooms at this category 7 hotel cost 60k points plus 150 GBP for a family room.

Since I lived in London for many years with my kids, I always recommend that first-time visitors decide where to stay and search there. When my friends and family visit, I put them up at the London Marriott Hotel County Hall. Southbank is the first place I tell families to go when they visit London. The place is in the old City Hall in London.

The hotel has large rooms that can sleep up to four people. The fact that the hotel has a babysitting service is a plus for families. On the top two floors of County Hall, there is a gym and London’s biggest hotel indoor swimming pool. The hotel bar has more than 100 kinds of gin and serves afternoon tea (so book that babysitter).

When you stay here, you’ll be close to the London Dungeon, the London Aquarium, the London Eye, and Big Ben. The West End and Covent Garden are just across the bridge. It is called the “South Bank” because it consists of walkways, shops, and attractions located on the south bank of the Thames River, in front of the London Eye. It is located a short distance from Waterloo station. From there, you can take a train to places like Windsor and Bath outside of London or take the Jubilee line up Bond Street to go shopping.

County Hall Park Plaza

The Park Plaza County Hall is right next to the Marriott at County Hall. It calls itself a family-friendly hotel and gives kids goody bags with activity books and a Park Plaza passport when they check in. It gives kids up to 12 years old a free breakfast, and all Studio Rooms have a sofa bed and a kitchenette. Younger guests love the comforter with cartoon characters, the bathrobes made for kids, and the classes on making pizza. Parents like the wine swap because they can trade a cleaning service for a bottle of wine during their stay.

Family rooms are 320 square feet and have double and sofa beds. They cost 87,500 Radisson Rewards points per night and can fit two adults and two children. Tip: If you want to see the London Eye, ask for a room on a higher floor.

Westminster Bridge Park Plaza

Radisson Rewards is one of the best hotel loyalty programs for families in London because you can book family rooms for a reasonable number of points without paying extra cash. Children at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge get a “rucksack” full of treats at check-in, just like at the County Hall location. Four people can sleep in 87,500-point studio rooms with one bed and one sleeper sofa.

You might be able to see Big Ben or the London Eye from your room if you’re lucky. Make sure to put the correct number of adults and children in the search box for Radisson Rewards to show the family awards in the results.

Hilton Paddington London

Depending on the room type and season, you need between 36,000 and 70,000 points.

The Heathrow Express makes it easy to get to the Hilton Paddington because it is inside Paddington Station. It can be a good place to stay for day trips to Cambridge, Oxford, and the Cotswolds.

In 2015, the 1854 hotel got a makeover. The GWR Tower Wing, which has new rooms and access to the Executive Lounge, was built.

The family rooms at this hotel are a premium award, so that they won’t be cheap, but they do exist. During our tests, a Family Superior Room with two queen beds cost 138,000 to 157,000 points and was 334 to 377 square feet.

In a “Queen Suite,” adults have a king-sized bed, while kids have a pull-out double sofa bed in the separate living area. Families may upgrade their rooms by paying more points. In our tests, this cost 163,000 to 199,900 points per night. The Executive Lounge is also available to people staying in the Queen Suite.
