This elegant Mayfair restaurant serves high-end Mediterranean and Nicoise food in London. You can’t go wrong if you come here for breakfast or dinner, but the pain perdu french toast is our favorite, so it makes our list of breakfast foods. We think you’ll be thinking about it in your dreams for weeks. Considering the costs, which aren’t exactly for the weak of heart, it may or may not be a good thing.
Granger et al.
This is one of the best places in London to have brunch. It’s an Australian café with many healthy food choices and a bright, open space. Avocado toast scrambled eggs, and ricotta pancakes come to mind. They have stores in Notting Hill, Chelsea, Clerkenwell, and King’s Cross. Since they don’t take reservations, you might have to wait a while in line, but once you try one of their sweetcorn fritters, it will all be worth it.
Esters
Don’t you like the avocado toast we just talked about? Go to Esters and eat your heart out with french toast, muesli, poached eggs, and a great cup of coffee. They don’t take cash or reservations. The direction they’re heading in seems right.
The Compton Arms has four legs
A suggestion for a Sunday roast would be necessary for this list to be considered complete. Four Legs started serving it in October, but it’s already getting much attention. When you add that to the fact that there are only a few tables, you have a recipe for making reservations long before you want to go. Even though you’ll be full, don’t forget to save room for dessert. It does, after all, travel to a separate gut.
The Corinthia Hotel has Kerridge’s Bar & Grill.
Kerridge’s is your best bet if you want to go to a place that has been serving Sunday roasts for a long time. In Westminster, at the Corinthia Hotel, they serve some of the best lamb rumps you’ll find. Did we also say that they serve lobster thermidor? You probably have a particular reason for coming here; therefore, you should make a reservation. They start up to three months ahead of time. What to eat for lunch
The Borough Market
One of London most famous (and possibly the most famous) markets has so many food stalls that it might melt your brain. But since we’re talking about melt, how about a grilled cheese sandwich from Kappacasein?
Beigel Bake
Bagel lovers should visit this place in London. One of the best cheap places to eat in town is open all the time and is famous for its salt beef sandwich. It’s like London’ Katz’s, except they have much cheaper bagels. You can ask for it with mustard. Trust.

Ok, so you may have seen this place on Instagram a lot. But you can’t deny that it’s pretty. It’s a place to eat, drink, and have a good time, which means it’s a tearoom that turns into a cocktail lounge. Don’t make plans right after tea because you’ll probably end up staying here longer than planned.
Noble Rot
This is the kind of wine bar you wish all wine bars were like. Why do you ask? Because it not only has a great list of wines and some of the best food in town. Don’t skip the bread or forget to make a reservation, no matter what you do.
Dishoom
If you went to London but didn’t go to Dishoom, did you even go? Even though it might be a bit touristy and busy, everyone you know is going to one of these Bombay-inspired cafés. You should order the pau bhaji, the chicken ruby, and the lamb chops.
Koya Bar
You don’t have to fly to Japan to eat delicious Japanese food (although you definitely should). Sit at the bar and watch the chef make some of the best udon noodles in the city. Also, they serve breakfast, which is a much less formal meal. There are two places. One (City) takes reservations, and the other does not (SoHo). Pick your poison.
Barrafina
Another place that will make you feel like you just got off a plane in a different country. But this time it’s Spain, and Barcelona in particular. London has four locations, including Covent Garden and King’s Cross. There are no reservations, so come ready. Once you get here, you can’t go wrong with the tortilla, carabinero, or stuffed courgette flower. Also, lots of Tinto.

Palomar
The greatest Israeli cuisine in the city is what you’re here for. Even though the bar is the place to be, you can book a table in the back, even though the atmosphere isn’t as fun. If you’re looking for good food and a good time, you’ve come to the right place. Order the Jerusalem chicken, the beetroot carpaccio, and the octo-hummus.
Xi’an Impression
One of London best Chinese restaurants is right across the street from a soccer (or football, if we’re being British) stadium. Don’t be put off by where it is. People come here for the xi’an liangpi cold noodles and, of course, all the dumplings they can eat. How you feel will depend on how many people are in your group. There may not be enough to do for one or two people, and there may not be enough room for five or more people. The right number is three to four, so plan accordingly.
